We do not intentionally use PFAS in our fabrics.
PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are synthetic chemicals sometimes called "forever chemicals." They don't break down in the environment and are linked to a range of health concerns in humans. They're commonly added to textiles to resist water and stains.
At Aisle, we contractually prohibit our suppliers from intentionally using PFAS in the fabrics or finishes of our underwear. All fabrics are independently tested by Bureau Veritas using the EN14582 method, which screens for organic fluorine, the key marker for the presence of PFAS. All results have come back as Not Detected (ND).
Like all companies, we cannot guarantee that a product will be entirely free of trace PFAS. PFAS are now widely present in the environment, in water, air, soil, and supply chain processes, so trace exposure cannot always be fully controlled. What we can control is what we intentionally put in, and we test regularly to show our work.
