I love the boosters. I have a super heavy flow, and for reasons I don't use tampons. The boosters are the only reason I can get away with not using traditional pads.
Two things that I've found work very well. First, yes, they can be a little tough to get them to stay put. When I put them in, I curve my underwear (as if it would fit a body) and put them in to fit that way. I don't have any issues with them staying put.
The second thing is on the really heavy days, I actually use two liners. Just one on top of the other (otherwise I wouldn't last an hour...). But they work great together on the really bad days.
Love love love them!
The only think I dislike is that they're black. Which I understand the appeal of not wanting to see colours, but it makes it difficult to know if they're full or if they're good for a while longer.
I really, really do not understand the booster hate I see in these reviews. These things are genius. A major downside to period underwear is the hassle of changing a whole pair of underwear. And I do not care how absorbent a pair of undies is; with my inconsistent IUD periods, Murphy's Law says I am going to need a change at the worst possible time. The booster lets me slip a change into my pocket. Not at all possible with a whole pair of underwear, especially not my favorite boxers. (And forget wearing pads instead with boxers!) It also means no taking off three layers to change underwear in winter.
The one downside is the attachment system, but the problem there is the undies themselves, not the booster. I'm an old Lunapads customer, and I think the bands across the gusset were a lot easier than the pockets they're using now. Why fix what wasn't broken?
