Our specially engineered lining combines super-absorbent Truetex™ technology with a leak-proof lining that absorb 4 tampons worth of fluid.

How do you wash Essential period underwear?

Our period underwear were made to fit into your regular laundry routine. Just rinse the gusset in cool water before washing in the machine with your regular laundry. Hang to dry where possible - it saves energy and prolongs the life of your undies!

How are Essential period underwear different from Boost period underwear?

Essential period underwear are made with the same super-soft, breathable & sustainable fabrics as our Boost underwear, but feature an ultra-thin, all-in-one gusset design that absorbs 4+ tampons worth of fluid. Everything you need—nothing you don’t.

Do I need to wear a pad or tampon with them?

Essential period underwear provide 4+ tampons worth of absorbency and can be used instead of disposable pads & tampons.

Excellent gusset coverage, and great absorbency without being bulky. They feel just like regular underwear! I tried another brand before this, and while they were okay I now only use them when I’m out of Aisle pairs. These are my go to whether I’m wearing them alone or as a back up for my cloth pads
