FAQ

How are pads different from liners?

Both feature edge-to-edge leak protection and a super comfortable wicking cotton top layer, but our pads absorb 4X as much as our liners do.

Do they work for heavy periods?

Yes, we developed our pads to hold up to heavy flow. Just make sure you choose a pad with adequate coverage, and change as needed!

FAQ Image

How often do I need to change my pad?

At least once a day, or about as often as you would change a disposable pad. You’ll get the hang of it with experience.

How do I wash my pads?

Our pads were designed to fit into your regular laundry routine. No need to soak - just give them a quick rinse in cool water, then wash and dry with your next load of laundry.

Where are your pads made?

Our pads have been cut and sewn at the same locally-owned and operated factory for over 25 years, right here in Vancouver, BC.

Best Pads Known to Woman

I've used these pads since they were branded as Lunapads Performa. I loved them then and I still love them now!

The Super Pad is perfect for heavy days and nights and offers great leak coverage. I pair them with the Aisle Hipster undies. After use I don't rinse them as directed. I just place them used but dry into my laundry bag and wash at the end of my cycle. They come clean and are super easy to care for with a machine wash.

While traveling in developing countries I found these easy to hand wash in a sink. Just fill a sink or similar basin with water, leave the pads soaking with detergent for a few minutes, then swish, scrub and squeeze. Roll in a towel to remove as much water as you can and hang to dry. They come clean very easily hand washing as well. During such travel I find using a menstrual cup is simpler and easier, but I feel I still need some pads.

Highly recommend!

Works Wonders On Heavy Days

Great coverage, comfort, security, and brand; I love these pads! I have a couple of extremely heavy days every time I get my period, and these pads handle them like they're no problem. I have never had any leaks while wearing these pads. One thing, though, some people looking to purchase pads or liners should probably know that staining is much more visible on blue than the other colors. If you're not on board with that, I would get red or black. I personally don't mind stains; I'm just happy to have found a cost-effective and sustainable option!
