I used to wear Thinx AirWear but when I found out they might have PFAS I needed a new brand. I primarily tried these based on the reviews and the color options, but I've lucked out in that they're also really comfortable! I use them as a backup to a menstrual cup so I have not tested their full absorption ability, but they work for me. I make use of the gusset insert at the very beginning of my flow and it's not too tricky to insert and stays in place. You may have trouble if you have limited mobility in your hands, though, as you have to feed the insert through a smallish slit so you need finger dexterity.
I do have one complaint: the waistband is nice and thick but when I sit the elastic bunches at my hips, and stays crinkled up like that for the rest of the day unless I manually re-smooth the elastic. It's kind of weird. But, I still really like them and plan to buy more!
